Fort McKavett State Historic Site

The Fort McKavett State Historic Site is a well-preserved site from the Texas–Indian wars. Some of the structures you can see while visiting here are the barracks, hospital, dead house and sink. Presidio De San Saba

Once a fortified base, the Presidio de San Saba was built in the 1750s to protect the Spanish in the region. The site sits along the San Saba River at almost 18 acres in size. When you visit, you can sit at one of the place's picnic tables or spend time with family at the nearby pavilion.
