EXPERIENCE THE SAN SABA RIVER

The San Saba River is an amazing and largely undiscovered fishery in Menard, TX. This river is home to the purest strains of Guadeloupe Bass in the state. They grow to over 12 inches in the river. Monster catfish, largemouth bass, and redbreast sunfish are also found in abundance. The river is easily navigable on a kayak, and offers some of the most beautiful scenery in central Texas. There are local outfitters who offer kayak rentals and guided/un-guided float trips with drop off and pickup included. Don't miss out on the unique opportunity to catch some of Menard's trophy fish!

Review

"The Lost Silver park is conveniently located behind the Vallero truck stop in Menard. We were in the midst of a severe snowstorm and much relieved to spend two nights. The power was out across the area and the owner was kind enough to come by and make sure we were okay. He even came out of his way to give us a jumpstart the morning we were to leave for the RV and Truck batteries were dead
Looking forward to a pleasant stay when the weather is warmer next fall!"
